Canali takes Madrid

In every city there is always essential corners, obligatory stops; and I am not talking about museums or monuments, I speak of shops and stores. Places where happiness, satisfaction, enthusiasm, fascination, even euphoria, have a price.

En toda ciudad siempre hay rincones imprescindibles, de parada obligatoria; y no hablo de museos ni monumentos, hablo de tiendas, establecimientos y comercios. Lugares donde la felicidad, la satisfacción, la ilusión, la fascinación, incluso la euforia, sí tienen un precio.

Nothing like the news of a new openness, we all love to know that a new signature, chain or designer, opened a retail outlet near us, we are loyal consumers of the house or not ... We love it! Nothing like a breath of fresh air to our streets and life!

No hay nada como la noticia de una nueva apertura, a todos nos encanta saber que una nueva firma, cadena o diseñador, abre un punto de venta cerca de nosotros, seamos fieles consumidores de la casa o no... ¡Nos encanta! ¡No hay nada como un soplo de aire fresco a nuestras calles y vida!

Maybe it was not an opening ceremony in the making, since this unique establishment had opened its doors to the public months before its inauguration, but the "official" opening party of the first flagshipstore of the Italian firm specializing in menswear, Canali, in Spain, that would not be helped man in the face and around Madrid, to stay excluding 20th Ayala street in their address books.

Quizás no fue una ceremonia de apertura en toda regla, puesto que este singular establecimiento ya había abierto sus puertas al público meses antes de su inauguración, pero la fiesta "oficial" de apertura de la primera flagshipstore de la firma italiana especializada en moda masculina, Canali, en España, contribuyó a que no quedara hombre en la faz de Madrid y alrededores, que se quedara sin incluir el número 20 de la calle Ayala en su libreta de direcciones.

But behind this great feat, there is a conqueror, and this role is played by the Yusty family, owners of which undoubtedly is considered the most famous space to dress the man with all the Spanish capital,  who in coalition with the Canali family, who were not lost, and from the lively and picturesque direct Italia came, the opening party, govern and leave no excuse fathers, sons and husbands to wear in bad ways.

Pero detrás de esta gran hazaña, hay un conquistador, y este papel lo desempeña la familia Yusty, propietaria del que sin duda es considerado el espacio más ilustre para vestir al hombre, de toda la capital española, que en coalición con la familia Canali, quienes no se perdieron, y desde la alegre y pintoresca Italia directos vinieron, la fiesta de inauguración, regirán y dejarán sin excusa a padres, hijos y esposos para vestir de malas maneras.

Live music, and continuous parade of a wide range of the finest and most traditional delicacies from the boot-shaped country, like a "little Italy" in the golden mile of Madrid were, to celebrate in the most exquisite possible way, the union of two legendary families who share their devotion and passion for dressing the man ... and how they do it!

Música en directo, y el continuo desfile de un gran abanico de lo más finos y tradicionales manjares del país con forma de bota, como si de una "little Italy" en la milla de oro de Madrid se tratara, para festejar de la forma más exquisita posible, la unión de dos legendarias familias, que comparten su devoción y pasión por el vestir al hombre... ¡Y de qué manera!

Buy, the other hormone gland of happiness. Some people come into a store with a clear purpose or objective, however, I do it to fall in love. On rare occasion I look for something specific, I prefer get surprised me, to find something I thought I did not need until I see it hanging on a hanger. No doubt, love at fist sight exists.
Comprar, la otra glándula de la hormona de la felicidad. Hay quien entra en una tienda con un propósito u objetivo claro, yo en cambio, lo hago para enamorarme. En rara ocasión busco algo en concreto, yo soy más de dejarme sorprender, de encontrarme con algo que creía que no necesitaba hasta que lo veo colgando de una percha. No cabe duda, los flechazos existen.

As Carrie Bradshaw did it in Manolo Blahnik, we all have a special place to give us some "I do". In my case, when I'm in Palencia, that place is Cortemax, a familiar name to anyone who is aware of everything that happens in The Queens also Fart. So many are the "must haves" that I posted whenever I enter in this unique family business that due to these dates as marked, where despite who gets upset, gifts have a notable presence; I decided to create a sort of "it list", loaded with what I consider the ten indispensables of Cortemax this autumn-winter 2014/15, a list of which sure, helps anyone to finds some idea to give to their loved ones:

En mi caso, cuando estoy en Palencia, ese lugar es Cortemax, un nombre muy familiar para cualquiera que esté al tanto de todo lo que ocurre en The Queens also Fart. Tantos son los "must haves" que contabilizo siempre que entro en esta singular empresa familiar, que con motivo de estas fechas tan marcadas, en las que pese a quien le pese, los regalos tienen una notable presencia; que decidí crear una especie de "it list", cargada con los que considero los diez indispensables de Cortemax de este otoño-invierno 2014/15, una lista de la que seguro, seguro, más de uno encuentra alguna idea para regalar a sus seres más queridos:

MBFW Madrid SS15: Hannibal Laguna

Monday, 15 February. The red carpet was cast for welcome the latest proposals for next spring-summer, by a name that when you say it, this assumes a before and after for the woman listens. It was time to personified glamor, it was time to Hannibal Laguna.
Lunes 15 de Febrero. La alfombra roja estaba echada para recibir a golpe de tacón inquieto, las últimas propuestas para la primavera-verano que viene, de un nombre, que cuando lo pronuncias, supone un antes y un después para la mujer que lo escucha. Era tiempo del glamour personificado, era tiempo de Hannibal Laguna.

One who designs evening dresses is a whole brave, and who do it with an optimal result, has been a kind of gift in the blood. Like a garden of delights it were, the best scene was the start of being able to enjoy those seemingly endless yards of shiny fabric, strutting on the catwalk. Because beyond be nice or original, what really fascinates a dress, it's the fall and movement thereof. Red, green, yellow, pink ... There is definitely a Hannibal Laguna for every woman.
Con una selección de colores apetecibles tanto para la vista, como para el paladar, la mujer Laguna se declara con esta colección una enamorada de la primavera, el mundo floral y una romántica exaltada. Como si de un jardín de las delicias se tratase, lo mejor de la puesta de escena fue el hecho de poder disfrutar de esos aparentemente interminables metros de tela reluciente, contoneándose sobre la pasarela. Porque más allá de resultar bonito u original, lo que realmente hechiza de un vestido, es la caída y movimiento del mismo. Rojo, verde, amarillo, rosa... Definitivamente hay un Hannibal Laguna para cada mujer.

MBFW Madrid SS15: Amaya Arzuaga

Sunday, 14 September. It was the most anticipated return. A genuine and enveloping as her own, Amaya Arzuaga returned to the Madrid catwalk the main line belonging to the firm that bears her name. Without a doubt, the best gift the designer could give to the most influential and emblematic week of Spanish fashion.
Domingo 14 de Septiembre. Era el regreso más esperado. Una genuina y envolvente como ella sola, Amaya Arzuaga devolvía a la pasarela madrileña la línea principal perteneciente a la firma que lleva su nombre. Sin lugar a duda, el mejor que regalo que la diseñadora podía hacerle a la semana más emblemática de moda española.

Sunday was increasingly less Sunday as the outstanding Arzuaga´s proposals took the catwalk. For spring-summer, Amaya Arzuaga let seductive waves inspire her and are just themselves responsible for shaping the image and likeness every silhouettes, cuts, shapes and patterns in the collection, a collection which is obvious by its haunting palette, punctuated by the sharp contrast between the used colors, so that the white highlights on the red, blue or black with a very futuristic wink. 
El domingo se hacía menos domingo a medida que las sobresalientes propuestas de Arzuaga tomaban la pasarela. Para la próxima primavera-verano, Amaya Arzuaga deja que las seductoras olas del mar la inspiren, y sean precisamente ellas mismas las encargadas de modelar a su imagen y semejanza cada una de las siluetas, cortes, formas y patrones de la colección, una colección que salta a la vista por su inquietante paleta de colores, marcada por el fuerte contraste entre ellos, de tal manera que el blanco resalta sobre el rojo, azul o negro con un guiño muy futurista.

Ruffles, sinuous openings and asymmetric cuts seem to be the guidelines implemented by the fashion designer, to design a series of dresses, skirts, jackets and tops,  that making the human figure, a modern work of art. 
Volantes, sinuosas aperturas y cortes asimétricos parecen ser las pautas llevadas a cabo por la creadora de moda, para concebir una serie de vestidos, faldas, chaquetas y tops, que hacen de la figura humana, una moderna obra de arte.

Volumetric figures, many of which are structured around the use of zippers as a star elements, redefining, shooting and doing even more fun and contemporary each of the designs. Unquestionable and unmistakably, very Amaya Arzuaga.
Figuras volumétricas, de las cuales muchas se estructuran entorno al uso de cremalleras como elementos estrella, que redefine, remata y hace aún más divertidos y contemporáneos cada uno de los diseños. Indiscutible e inconfundiblemente, muy Amaya Arzuaga.
