On 21 November Thursday , one of the greatest exponents of Spanish luxury in fashion is concerned, opening for some of the lucky ones who are dedicated to the world of fashion , media and communication , the doors of the factory where dreams , ideas and sketches become reality , his couture workshop located in the iconic and cosmopolitan Serrano street in Madrid . We talked about Diego Villalba , who along with his brother Alfredo , make the second -generation head of the Madrid renowned luxury fashion brand, Alfredo Villalba.
¡Hola a todos!El pasado jueves 21 de noviembre, uno de los mayores exponentes del lujo español en cuanto a moda se refiere, abría para algunos de los afortunados que nos dedicamos al mundo de la moda, prensa y comunicación, las puertas de la factoría donde los sueños, las ideas y los bocetos se hacen realidad, su taller de Alta Costura situado en la emblemática y cosmopolita calle Serrano de Madrid. Hablamos de Diego Villalba, que junto a su hermano Alfredo, conforman la segunda generación al frente de la reconocida firma de moda de lujo madrileña por excelencia, Alfredo Villalba.

The meeting went beyond simply show us exclusive designs from the Alfredo Villalba´s cruise collection for next spring-summer 2014 , an event that may well have been held in the signature flagship store at 68 Street Serrano , but if the event tube finally place in his studio, space also located in the heart of Madrid's Golden Mile , was a cause of a very special reason, and that reason meant nothing more and nothing less, than allow all guests attending that event , the opportunity to see first hand how works a real Couture workshop live.
El encuentro fue más allá del simple hecho de enseñarnos en exclusiva los diseños de la colección crucero de la próxima primavera-verano 2014 de Alfredo Villalba, evento que podrá haber sido celebrado perfectamente en la flagship store de la firma en el número 68 de la calle Serrano; pero si finalmente tubo lugar en su taller, espacio situado también en el corazón de la Milla de Oro madrileña, fue un motivo muy especial, y ese motivo supuso nada más y nada menos, que permitir a todos los asistentes invitados a dicha cita, la oportunidad de ver de primera mano como funciona un auténtico taller de Alta Costura en directo.

Tras conocer en persona a la cabeza ejecutiva y financiera de la firma, Alfredo, y al alma creativa y encargada del diseño y de seguir artísticamente hablando con el legado aportado al mundo de la moda por su padre, Diego, una de las cosas que más me gustó y marcó de mi visita a la capital fue que para empezar, que Alfredo Villalba a día de hoy, sigue siendo una empresa familiar, donde su nuevo diseñador al frente, ha sido capaz de mantener el estilo y señas de identidad de la casa, otorgándola además de su toque personal, un giro y una visión mucho más contemporáneas, muy acorde a nuestros días, y que prácticamente podríamos decir que reinventa la Alta Costura, y donde veíamos como Diego Villalba, gracias a una eficaz y alucinante compenetración con su equipo, está presente encima y siguiendo en todo momento, el proceso y confección de cada uno de sus diseños, todos ellos con el valor añadido del "Made in Spain".

In addition to discovering its wonderful workshop , and part of the history and identity of the brand , we could contemplate clothes on display from past collections of Alfredo Villalba and exclusively to members of its cruise collection for the next spring-summer season, all of them characterized by the beauty of its stunning Baroque-couture aesthetic , full of tiny perfect and impeccably crafted details that make it impossible for the woman who wears ones not feel glamorous. As I said,a day to remember!
Además de descubrir su maravilloso taller, y parte de la historia e identidad y concepto de marca, pudimos contemplar prendas expuestas de colecciones pasadas de Alfredo y Villalba y en exclusiva, las pertenecientes a su colección crucero para la primavera-verano que viene, pero todas ellas caracterizadas por la belleza de su impresionante estética barroca-couture, repletas de minúsculos detalles perfecta e impecablemente trabajados, que hacen imposible que la mujer que las lleve no se sienta glamurosa.
