Interview with Michael Dittrich (January 2016)

He debuted as a model being just 15 years old, runways of Milano, New York or Madrid,  have seen him parading; he studies fine arts and has a very personal view about the painting; besides he is introducing himself in the world of photography, his true passion; so is Michael Dittrich (@mekelison), probably one of the most wonderful, funny and crazy people with whom I have had the pleasure to come across, and most I appreciate. I could not tell if he is first an artist or a model, because talent is not lacking in him, and divine features either. He is the protagonist of the first interview of 2016 of The Queens also Fart:
Debutó como modelo con tan sólo 15 años, pasarelas como la de Milán, Nueva York o Madrid, le han visto desfilar; estudia bellas artes y cuenta con una visión muy personal acerca de la pintura; además de estar dando sus primeros pasos en el mundo de la fotografía, su verdadera pasión; así es Michael Dittrich (@mekelison), probablemente una de las personas más estupendas, divertidas y locas con la que he tenido el placer de cruzarme, y que sin duda más aprecio. No sabría decir si primero es artista o modelo, porque talento no le falta, y rasgos divinos tampoco. Él es el protagonista de la primera entrevista de 2016 de The Queens also Fart :

1. If you could go back to the past and choose to be a model again, would you do it?

1. Si pudieras volver al pasado, ¿elegirías ser modelo de nuevo?

Im not sure, I dont like to think about the past, more focused on the future. I dont define myself by what I do which makes it easier. Im always doing a million things and will probably have 100 jobs before I die. 

No estoy seguro, no me gusta pensar en el pasado, me centro más en el futuro. No me defino a mí mismo por lo que hago, lo cual lo hace más fácil. Siempre estoy haciendo un millón de cosas y probablemente tenga unos loo trabajos más antes de morir.

An advantage is the connections that you make quite easily through working with different people in different places everyday. A disadvantage is not being able to decide your own schedule or really know what is next ever. 

Una ventaja son las conexiones que haces fácilmente a través del trabajo con personas diferentes, en lugares distintos cada día. Una desventaja es no ser capaz de decidir tu propio horario o qué va a ser lo siguiente.

I use no foaming olive oil and orange oil face wash from Burts bees, its the best. Also taking an herbal supplement, I use one called Scram.

Utilizo un aceite de oliva  y otro de lavado de cara de naranja de Burt´s Bees, que es lo mejor. También tomo un suplemento de hierbas llamado Scram.

4. Which designers would you like to work with?

4. ¿Con qué diseñadores te gustaría trabajar?

It would be my dream to do a Lanvin or Saint Laurent campaign.

Sería un sueño hacer las campañas de Lanvin o Saint Laurent.

5. What has been your most embarrassing moment related to fashion industry?

5. ¿Cuál ha sido tu momento más embarazoso en la industria de la moda?

I dont really get embarrassed, I laugh at myself all the time haha.

Realmente no tengo vergüenza, me río de mí mismo todo el tiempo jaja.

6. How did you start into fashion business ?

6.¿Cómo fueron tus primeros pasos dentro del mundo de la moda?

I started modeling for a small company in Wisconsin doing their e-commerce when I was 15.

Comencé a modelar para una pequeña compañía en Wisconsin para su tienda online cuando tenía 15 años.

7. Would you like to do something that you can not do because of the fact of been a model?

7. ¿Te gustaría poder hacer algo que el hecho de ser modelo te lo impide?

Yes I would like to go to graduate school to get my masters in painting.

Sí, me gustaría graduarme para conseguir mi master en pintura.

8. How do you describe your personal style?

Vampire, Punk, Black

10. Have you got any mania in terms of clothing?

10. ¿Tienes alguna manía a la hora de vestir?

I have a jacket addiction, I have a whole closet that wont even fit them all. 

Tengo una adicción por las chaquetas. Tengo un armario entero de ellas con alguna que no he estrenado todavía.

11. What has been your most exciting project?

11. ¿Cuál ha sido tu proyecto más emocionante?

I did a nude campaign for a hotel a couple of weeks ago, that was pretty exhilarating. 

Me desnudé para la campaña de un hotel hace un par de semanas, fue muy estimulante.

12. A garment or accessory in your closet that you can not live without it:

12. Una prenda o accesorio sin la que puedas vivir:

My black pendant necklace, came from someone really special to me. Every time I put it on I tell myself it is going to be a good day and know that it will bring me luck.

Mi colgante negro; viene de alguien muy especial para mí. Siempre que me lo pongo me digo a mí mismo que voy a tener un buen día y sé que me traerá suerte.

13. What is your dream job?

13. ¿Cuál es el verdadero trabajo de tus sueños?

Top photographer

Ser un fotógrafo sobresaliente.

14. Would you change any part of your body?

14. ¿Cambiarías alguna parte de tu cuerpo?

I wouldn't, but a more cut 6 pack couldn't hurt a brother ha.

No lo haría, pero unos abdominales aún más marcados no le haría daño a nadie jaja.
