Not long ago, a good friend and me exchanged a few laughs while she was showing some pictures of her academy year she spend in U.S. to me, in which images could be seen as some of her colleagues attended the classes at the institute dressed like the characters of the mythical cowboy and Indian movies of the old west. It was unlikely that these lightweight heel and toe boots, and these huge fedoras, were worn out of a fictional context today. And now, many seasons later, when that peculiar lifestyle, it has become a new compass north on styling. The streets of any city, on any continent, are already full of leather jackets, "jean" fabric shirts0, exotic leather boots, hats, belts with maxi-buckle, and especially, many fringes; so yes, all worn with much more art than usual. This is the Europeanization of American culture. 
No hace tanto tiempo, una buena amiga y yo, intercambiamos alguna que otra carcajada mientras esta me enseñaba imágenes del año académico que pasó estudiando en Estados Unidos, imágenes en las cuales se podía apreciar como algunos de sus compañeros asistían a las clases impartidas en el instituto vestidos cual personajes de las míticas películas de indios y vaqueros del viejo oeste. Me era inverosímil que esas botas de punta y ligero tacón, y esos sombreros de ala infinita, fuesen lucidos fuera de un contexto ficticio en la actualidad. Y es ahora, bastantes temporadas más tarde, cuando ese peculiar estilo de vida, se ha convertido en un nuevo norte en la brújula del estilismo. Las calles de cualquier ciudad, de cualquier continente, ya están llenas de cazadoras de piel, camisas en tejido "jean", botas en pieles exóticas, sombreros, cinturones con maxi-hebilla, y sobre todo, muchos flecos; so sí, todo ello llevado con mucho más arte de lo acostumbrado. Se trata de la europeización de la cultura americana.
