It's been just over a year and a half since the first time I published in The Queens also Fart an article about handbags designer, Laura Vela, who after grant an interview for this blog, I know her personally (thing that today I'm presuming) during the presentation in Madrid of her collection for the last spring-summer season.
Ya ha pasado algo más de año y medio desde la primera vez que publicaba en The Queens also Fart un artículo acerca de la diseñadora de bolsos, Laura Vela, quien tras concederme una entrevista para este mismo blog, pude conocer personalmente (cosa de la que a día de hoy sigo presumiendo) durante la presentación en Madrid de su colección para la pasada primavera-verano.

Well, this past year and a half has not been in vain for Laura , but along the same , she has not stopped achieve success , grab pages of the most prestigious magazines in the world of fashion with her designs , and consolidate some little more her brand , a handbags firm , increasingly recognized for its unique and unmistakable style, which makes the difference with its fresh , original and seductive models , designed for an ageless and stylish woman , truly appreciates quality and exclusivity and is aware of the whole process and story behind the bag which she´s carrying.

Less is More

"Less is more" minimalism star sentence , no one who is faithful to the absolute simplicity , the clean lines and relaxed shapes and forms , but I am not , I love the refilled, the alive, I have fear of empty , ie , I am a fully baroque. ¿Por qué decimos entonces sino cosas como "estoy depre, me voy de compras"? ¿O acaso nunca os habéis dicho a vosotros mismos: "hoy me visto para matar" o "me encuentro agobiado por los exámenes, hoy me pongo algo cómodo y discreto"? Yo por ejemplo, sin ir más lejos, hay fines de semana en los que no me apetece salir y mucho menos ver a demasiada gente, pero.. ¡zas! Llega unos días antes de lo previsto los zapatos que había pedido por internet, y tengo tantas ganas de estrenarlos que doy un giro de 180º a mi actitud; o cuando un día me visto y me digo "vaya Jorge, para ser un despojo no lo has hecho tan mal", y salgo a la calle con una sonrisa de oreja a oreja de lo a gusto que me siento conmigo mismo, a pesar de no llevar nada especial o alucinante. Ahí es donde quería yo llegar, hay días en los que no necesitas llevar algo tan despampanante y exquisito, de esto que la gente no te pare de preguntar dónde te lo has comprado, cuánto te ha costado y demás, simplemente te encuentras genial con esas cuatro "pijadas" que te has combinado, aunque sean las prendas más sencillas del mundo, no importa , te sientes guapo, y por lo tanto, actúas como tal, he ahí la clave de la moda.

Something similar happened to me last Friday in the company of two great friends, with a roof to ourselves , and good camera in hand , I wore nothing above that shine with light itself (far from my face!) , but instead as I felt in that basic sweater, these ripped jeans and those worn shoes , yes it did. And of course,the conditions to capture the moment were the best ! Remember, less is sometimes more!

Algo parecido me pasó a mi el viernes pasado en compañía de dos excelentes amigas, con una azotea para nosotros solos, y una buena cámara en mano; no llevaba nada encima que brillara con luz propia,(¡ni mucho menos mi cara!) pero en cambio como me sentía yo con ese jersey básico, esos vaqueros rotos y esas zapatillas desgastadas, sí que lo hacía. Y claro, ¡ las condiciones para inmortalizar el momento eran las idóneas! ¡Recuerda, menos a veces es más!
