M.I.A. for Versus

Speaking of collaborations , capsule collections and others , barely a few hours ago that have come to light (and for sale) recent outfits, product of the spontaneous union between the younger and rocker line of Italian luxury house Versace , Versus, and the singer born in Sri Lanka , M.I.A that makes so much more to her full CV , adding on it , her last experience as a fashion designer , which also contains the work and artist profiles as a graphic designer , model , producer, lyricist ..... We´re talking about a Super Woman!
Hablando de colaboraciones, colecciones cápsula y demás, hace a penas unas horas que han salido a la luz (y a la venta) los últimos outfits producto de la espontánea unión entre la línea más joven y rockera de la casa de lujo italiana Versace, Versus, y la cantante nacida en Sri Lanka, M.I.A. que anota un tanto más a su completo curriculum, añadiendo en él, su última experiencia como diseñadora de moda; donde también figuran trabajos y perfiles de la artista como diseñadora gráfica, modelo, productora , letrista.....Vamos, ¡una super mujer!

With respect to the collection ,it  consists in a serie of full looks, designed by the singer and rapper from head to toe , both male and female , where the first thing that jumps out is the importance of the prints on it, the hallmark of the legendary Gianni Versace, and where you I have to say that M.I.A has done an excellent job re-designing the classic Greek frieze motif , an icon in the archives of Versace , making this go quietly drawing the name of the young artist , and applying it to all her patterns, which in turn they are present in absolutely all designs in the collection.
Respecto a la colección; consta de una serie de looks completos, diseñados por la cantante y rapera de pies a cabeza, tanto masculinos como femeninos, donde lo primero que salta la vista es la importancia de los estampados en ella, seña de identidad del legendario Gianni Versace, y donde hay que decir que M.I.A ha hecho un excelente trabajo re-diseñando la clásica cenefa con motivos griegos, todo un icono en los archivos de Versace, haciendo que esta vaya trazando discretamente el nombre de la joven artista, y aplicándolo en todos sus estampados, que a la vez estos están presentes en absolutamente todos los diseños de la colección.

Pero ahora viene la parte amarga; está claro que últimamente Versus no está pasando por sus mejores momentos, a pesar de estar logrando fama a nivel mundial, ahora mismo nada tiene que ver con las primeras colecciones de la firma cuando Donatella Versace nombró a Christopher Kane como director creativo de la misma, ¡qué tiempos aquellos!¡eso sí que era una maravilla! El último encargado de hacer resucitar la idea del gran Gianni de crear una firma de moda estrechamente alineada con la principal, Versace, que atrajese a un público mucho más joven y atrevido, fue el diseñador J.W.Anderson, que bajo mi punto de vista, dejó el listón bien bajo, es decir, me decepcionó por completo, pero lo peor es que algo parecido me ha pasado con la colección de M.IA., las prendas de la colección donde a parte de los estampados destacan también las siluetas estilizadas, camisas oversize, y colores como el verde, blanco, negro o dorado, no me disgustan en absoluto, es más, me veo con alguna de ellas, pero tampoco me dicen mucho, no me causan la necesidad de tirar de tarjeta de crédito y llenar hasta arriba mi "shopping bag" de la página oficial de Versace, y es una pena, porque por lo general, soy incondicional de los estampados.

Sí que es cierto que hay una serie de diseños, como bien puedan ser una de las parkas para caballero o dos de los outfits femeninos donde reina un estampado que fusiona las cenefas de inspiración griega con el nombre de M.I.A. camuflado con motivos florales, que sí que se pueden rescatar perfectamente de la susodicha colaboración, de todos modos, para todos aquellos que no compartáis mi misma opinión, os invito a conocer todavía más de cerca la colección en Versus.com ; mientras tanto yo seguiré encendiendo velitas y rezando porque Kane vuelva.
