Como me decía mi abuela por las mañanas para despertarme cada vez que me quedaba a su casa a dormir, ¡ya estoy aquí! Y lo digo entre exclamaciones porque es el momento de hablar, comentar y compartir, como ya vengo haciendo cada temporada desde hace ya un par de años, de todos y cada uno de los desfiles a los que he podido asistir esta última edición de Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Madrid, y es que señores y señoras...¡"Cibeles cada vez promete más!

Lo cierto es que podríamos escribir mil y una historias diferentes sobre una mujer así.

Bajo las siglas BWGH, se esconde la firma Brooklyn We Go Hard, una joven marca que lleva tan sólo en funcionamiento desde el año 2010, creada por dos buenos amigos parisinos, y que se está ganando poco a poco un merecido hueco en nuestros armarios gracias a su desenfadado y juvenil estilo y su peculiar y genuino concepto de firma.

BWGH born from the idea to synthesize and express in its fresh , fun and youth apparel , the essence of all that part of the urban culture today , continually studying its influences and changes , to capture therefore references of it with greater precision in their designs, so that its fashion , ie their clothes and accessories , refer us to a particular time and place on the planet.
"Hecho para ser usado por una generación apasionada y de mente abierta", así describen ambos diseñadores y su equipo como es el público al que les gustaría vestir con sus colecciones. BWGH nace de la idea de sintetizar y plasmar en sus frescas, divertidas y juveniles prendas, la esencia de todo aquello que forman parte de la cultura urbana en la actualidad, estudiando continuamente sus influencias y cambios, para poder captar por lo tanto, las referencias de la misma con mayor precisión en sus diseños, de tal manera que su moda, es decir sus prendas y accesorios, nos remitan a un lugar y momento concreto en el planeta.

The rich , culturally speaking , town of Stonehaven (Scotland ) was the starting and inspiration point of his collection for this autumn - winter 2014 , marked by the contrast between tradition and the development and advancement of its society and culture, that seem to get along swimmingly in BWGH designs, where abound the mixes of textures and materials , wool, suede or waxed cotton as fetish materials and resources.
La rica, culturalmente hablando, localidad de Stonehaven (Escocia) fue el punto de partida e inspiración de su colección destinada para este otoño-invierno 2014, una colección marcada por el contraste entre la tradición y el desarrollo y avance de su sociedad y cultura, que parecen llevarse a las mil maravillas en los diseños de BWGH, donde abundan los mixes de texturas y materiales, la lana, la gamuza o el algodón encerado como materiales y recursos fetiche.

¿Que qué me ha iluminado esta vez? Dos palabras: Miu Miu. Explosivos, divertidos, juveniles, originales, bonitos (obviamente) y rompedores; así son los "biker bags" de la última colección de la firma italiana para esta primavera-verano 2014, que a pesar de que todavía no nos llegan los rayos de sol, y que la manga corta parece toda una utopía, ya están a la venta en la e-store de la web de la marca.

Fue todo un flechazo, a penas ojeé cuatro páginas del Vogue edición británica del mes pasado, y me topé de lleno con las imágenes de la que había sido la última campaña publicitaria de Miu Miu; más allá de los vistosos, coloridos y llamativos estampados de las prendas que lucían las modelos, los bolsos que ellas mismas sostenían, brillaban con luz propia, aunque ¡qué menos, es algo ya casi "corriente" el hecho de que Miu Miu arrase con sus diseños en bolsos! Y entonces fue cuando me dije: Jorge, esto tiene que aparecer en The Queens also Fart.

Slightly far cry from our classics , and in many cases already bored , favorite handbags models , these must-have with biker inspiration come to be what I would call "essential" for the season to come ;  tote, satchel , clucth styles ... Un poco lejos de parecerse a nuestros clásicos, y en muchos casos ya aburridos, modelos de bolsos favoritos, estos must have de inspiración motera vienen a ser lo que yo llamaría "indispensables" para la temporada que está por venir; estilo tote, satchel, clucth... ¡Me gustan todos! Y ya sé que no son los típicos bolsos en los que invertirías si quisieras darte por primera vez el capricho de comprarte un bolso algo más curioso, pero piensa que estos son diseños de temporada, y que la que viene ya no estarán disponibles, en cambio los "inmortales" de toda la vida sí, y la siguiente y así progresivamente. Además no por ello muchos de ellos dejan de ser menos atemporales, y es que en definitiva, como ya he dejado caer a lo largo del post en un par de ocasiones, son unos auténticos "must haves", de esos que no tendrías vida suficiente para arrepentirte por no haberte dado el "sí quiero" con ellos y sí con cualquier otro bolso.
